Privacy Policy for the Tools

Version: 23.09.2026

This policy applies to the free tools at arteontools.com. The Arteon agency runs a separate website at arteonagency.pl with its own privacy policy, because it provides a different service there: it shows no ads and collects consent with its own banner.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data is Arteon, based at Zagacie, ul. Jaśminowa 36, 32-070 Czernichów, Poland.

Tax ID (NIP): 6772156998, REGON: 521832645

Contact: kontakt@arteonagency.pl, phone: +48 516 466 255.

2. Your files do not reach our server

The tools calculate and process data in your browser. A photo you drop into a converter, text you paste into the word counter and a number you type into a unit converter stay on your device. We do not send them anywhere, we do not store them and we have no access to them. The result is created on the same device, and you decide whether to download it.

One consequence is easy to miss: we cannot recover a file you have closed or check what exactly you converted. We do not have that data.

Some tools, such as the email signature generator, remember what you type in your browser (localStorage) so that it is not lost when you reload the page. This data stays on your device and does not reach us. You can delete it by clearing the site data in your browser.

Visiting the page is a separate matter. As on any website, a visit produces technical and statistical data, described in the following sections.

3. Data we collect

  • data you enter in the contact form (full name, email address, subject and message),
  • technical data collected automatically (IP address, device and browser information, cookies),
  • statistical data from Google Analytics 4, Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (pages visited, traffic source, loading times),
  • data collected by Google AdSense to display ads (advertising identifiers, advertising cookies, ad interaction data, IAB TCF v2.3 consent strings),
  • server and security event logs (timestamps, IP address, request headers).

This list does not include the content you put into the tools, because it never reaches us.

  1. Providing the tools - delivering the page and running it in your browser (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating the website).
  2. Replying to messages - handling questions sent through the contact form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent ticked in the form). We use the form data only to reply: we do not add you to a newsletter or send you marketing emails.
  3. Statistics in Google Analytics 4 - checking which tools are used and how visitors reach the website (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent to statistics cookies).
  4. Anonymous traffic and speed measurement - Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights count visits and loading times without cookies and without identifying you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in keeping the website fast and working correctly).
  5. Displaying ads - Google AdSense ads, which fund the upkeep of the tools (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent given in the Google Privacy & Messaging window).
  6. Security and legal claims - keeping logs, preventing abuse, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

In regions where Google does not show a consent window (section 5), Google Analytics 4 statistics and ads run on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the tools free (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this at any time. The quickest way is to use the Google tools described in section 5, or you can write to us.

The website uses cookies to:

  • remember your choice in the consent window (Google Privacy & Messaging cookies),
  • count visits in Google Analytics 4,
  • display interest-based ads (Google AdSense / DoubleClick).

Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights do not use cookies and record visits anonymously. Vercel Web Analytics recognizes a single visit by a hash created from the request, and the hash is deleted after 24 hours.

Google AdSense may use DoubleClick cookies to show ads based on a user’s previous visits to this or other websites. Third-party vendors, including Google, use these cookies to serve ads based on browsing history.

Consent management (CMP)

Consent is collected and stored by Google Privacy & Messaging, a certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) version 2.3. The website has no consent banner of its own.

Users from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see the Google consent window on their first visit. Users from US states with privacy laws see a message in which they can opt out of the sale and sharing of their data. In some of these states, Google also honors the Global Privacy Control signal sent by the browser. In other regions, Google does not show a consent window.

If the consent window appeared for you, you can change your decision at any time: the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page opens it again.

Google Consent Mode v2

The website uses Google Consent Mode v2 in advanced mode. For users from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, all consent signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage) default to “denied” and change only after consent is given. For other regions the default is “granted”, which means that there Google Analytics 4 and interest-based ads run without a consent window.

You can also opt out of ad personalization in Google’s ad settings or at aboutads.info. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings, but restricting them may affect some features.

To stop Google Analytics measurement, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Data recipients

Data may be shared with the parties that help us run this website:

  • Vercel Inc. - website hosting and performance statistics,
  • Google Ireland Ltd. - Google Analytics 4, Google AdSense and Google Privacy & Messaging,
  • Formspree Inc. - delivery of messages sent through the contact form,
  • the hosting company that runs the kontakt@arteonagency.pl mailbox, where messages from the form arrive,
  • parties that provide us with legal or accounting services, if needed.

All recipients process data in line with the GDPR under agreements concluded with them.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Google, Vercel and Formspree may process data outside the European Economic Area. Legal safeguards apply, above all the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, together with technical measures that limit the scope of the data transferred.

8. Data retention

  • Messages from the contact form - up to 12 months after the correspondence ends.
  • Google Analytics 4 data - for the period set in Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.
  • Vercel Web Analytics - the hash used to recognize a visit is deleted after 24 hours, and the statistics themselves are anonymous.
  • Server logs - for as long as needed for security and accountability, as a rule up to 12 months.
  • Record of your consent - until you withdraw it or it expires, under the rules of the Google Privacy & Messaging platform.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy,
  • have your data corrected,
  • have your data erased,
  • restrict processing,
  • data portability,
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest,
  • withdraw consent at any time,
  • lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

10. Providing data is voluntary

Using the tools does not require providing any data or creating an account. You provide data only when you write to us through the contact form; without it we could not reply. Refusing consent to statistics and ads does not limit how the tools work.

11. Security measures

We apply technical and organizational measures that protect data against unauthorized access, loss and destruction. The website runs only over HTTPS, and processing files in the browser reduces the risk at the source: data we never send anywhere cannot leak from our server.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the law or the tools we use change. The current version is always on this page, and its date is shown under the title. The rules for using the tools themselves are set out in the Terms of Service.
