1.5 fl oz is 4.44 cl, because a US fluid ounce is 29.5735 ml and a centilitre is 10 ml. Type the ounces from a recipe or label, fractions like 3/4 or 1½ included, and pick US or UK / Imperial with the Ounce type switch.
How many centilitres is 1.5 oz?
1.5 US fluid ounces is 4.44 cl. A US fluid ounce is about 29.5735 ml and a centilitre is 10 ml[1], so you multiply the ounces by 29.5735 and divide by 10. In short: cl = oz × 2.957.
A UK fluid ounce is a twentieth of a pint of 0.56826125 litres[2], or 28.4131 ml, so the same number of ounces gives fewer centilitres: 1.5 UK fluid ounces is 4.26 cl. Choose it with the UK / Imperial option of the Ounce type switch. For a recipe from an American website, keep the default US option.
