Arteon tools now work in 18 languages. This update adds Arabic, Indonesian, Turkish, Greek, Ukrainian, Romanian, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Hindi, each with the Helios photo editor and part of the Print and screen category. The Helios guide now explains how your work is saved in the browser, and the privacy policy describes it in every language. See the details of the 6 November 2026 update.

Ten new languages

Arteon tools now work in 18 languages. This update adds Arabic, Indonesian, Turkish, Greek, Ukrainian, Romanian, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Hindi. In each of these languages you will find the Helios photo editor and the Print and screen category, together with the home page, the About page, the contact form, the privacy policy and the terms of service.

The language switcher at the bottom of every page now lists these languages as well. It shows a language only when the page you are on exists in it, so on a page that has no Arabic version you will not see Arabic in the list.

The Arabic version reads from right to left. The menu starts on the right, the columns swap sides and the editor panels are mirrored.

The Print and screen category in the new languages does not yet have every converter. Each language has ten of them: centimetres, millimetres, inches, points and rem, each converted to pixels and back. Arabic, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese also have the metres to pixels converter and its reverse, and Greek and Romanian have the em to pixels converter and its reverse.

The Pixels and DPI page and the Typographic units page open with a converter for the whole group, as in the other languages. The first one knows 16 screen and print units, including Android dp and sp, twips and EMUs, and the second 18 typographic units, from DTP and Didot points to em and rem. Both read unit names written in the language of the page, local abbreviations such as “см” or “ซม.”, and local digits. On the Japanese page, the quarter millimetre (級) from Japanese typesetting sits among the most used units, and the field also reads 歯.

We wrote the text under every converter separately for each language. The examples use the paper, photo and business card sizes used in that country, and the facts in the text link to their sources. Before the release we replaced the pages of shops and print shops among those sources with standards, manufacturer documentation and Wikipedia.

Helios in 18 languages

Helios, the photo and RAW editor we added on 7 October, now has its interface, its guide and its screenshots in all 18 languages. The guide explains every button and every message of the editor in each of them.

The guide in the eight languages we already had now explains how your work is saved in the browser: when the editor saves, what it keeps, how long the work stays and what changes in a private window. It also describes what happens when the editor is open in two tabs, the ways you can zoom and the New filter window. It has five new screenshots: Pick up where you left off, Before and after, History, Color mixer and Keyboard shortcuts.

The files with your settings and your filters are now named in the language of the editor. Before, they always had Polish names.

Fixed bugs

  • In Helios, tall windows such as Keyboard shortcuts now open scrolled to the top, so their title is visible on a screen 900 pixels high.
  • In the Arabic version of Helios, the colour bars of the Temperature, Tint and Hue sliders now run in the same direction as the slider. Before, the warm end of the Temperature bar stood on the side where the slider makes the photo cooler.
  • The Helios page no longer says that its numbers come from unit definitions.
  • The converters on the Pixels and DPI and Typographic units pages now read the Arabic decimal separator, so “٢٫٥” means 2.5. Before, the field said it did not know the unit “٫”, in every language.

The privacy policy describes how Helios saves your work

The privacy policy in all 18 languages now explains that Helios keeps copies of the open photos and the state of their edits in your browser, and keeps your own filters there too. This data stays on your device and does not reach us. The copy of a photo is deleted when you close the photo in the editor or choose Start over.

Old addresses of the tools

Before the tools moved to arteontools.com, some of them had Greek, Romanian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Hindi versions on arteonagency.pl. The old addresses of these pages now lead to the same page in the same language here, wherever that page exists. Until now they led to the English version.

How often we update the site

We update the site when new tools and fixes are ready. Every update gets its own post on this page.

  • Update of 7 October 2026: Helios photo editor and ten unit converters

    Published:

This release adds Helios, a free photo and RAW editor that works in your browser and never sends your photos to a server. Every subcategory with unit converters also gets its own converter on the subcategory page, from 16 units for pixels and DPI to 302 for length, in all eight languages. Converter fields now give a message instead of a wrong number for words they do not know. With the new subcategory converters, we removed 673 pages for unit pairs that get very little traffic in a given language. See the details of the 7 October 2026 update.
